Chiropractic for Children
At Element Chiropractic, we are experienced in seeing many babies and children. We have completed extensive post graduate training to specialise skills for the paediatric patient.

Babies
Movement, sensations and experiences in the first few years of life are paramount for brain development and building neural connections. Functional restrictions, imbalances or distortions to the delicate spinal tissue can have lasting consequences for optimal nerve system growth.Â
Many parents bring their babies for a check within days of their birth for a spinal and cranial assessment following the birthing process, whether natural or C-section. The techniques used on babies are obviously very different to those used on adults.Â

Safety
Chiropractic care is just one of the many safe and effective treatments that can help prepare the mother’s body for the experience of pregnancy and childbirth.
At Element Chiropractic, we provide personalised care throughout your pregnancy as well as after. We are specialised in the Webster technique, which is designed to restore balance in the pelvis and reduce tension in surrounding muscles and ligaments.Â
Â
Those specialised adjustment techniques are designed to accommodate pregnancy and your comfort is assured by being able to lie on our specially designed chiropractic pregnancy pillow, that allows you to lie comfortably face down no matter what stage you are at.
It’s not all about the click
Everyone gets treated as an individual! Whilst we adjust many of our patients using spinal manipulative techniques, we also use a wide variety of techniques meaning we also have patients where we only use more gentle (but extremely effective) chiropractic techniques (without any ‘clicking’).

This means if you don’t like the ‘clicking’ adjustments/manipulations, or know that you need an extremely gentle approach, then we will support you.
Everyone has a different starting point
Your levels of fitness, stress, past injuries, how long you sit for, will all affect how quickly or slowly your body changes and heals.
